Join us the second Tuesday of the month for a garden discussion about BRASSICAS.
DATE: Tuesday, July 14th, 2015
TIME: 5:30 – 7:30 pm
WHERE: Meeting Room of the Chico Branch, Butte County Library, 1108 Sherman Ave. Chico, CA
During our ‘Lettuce Get Together’ we will package up seed for members to borrow as well as talk about starting seeds for the fall garden and the different varieties of HEADING/SPROUTING BRASSICAS like brussel sprouts, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower and more. We’ll also discuss the best methods for growing them for both eating and seed saving.
BONUS: Bring some Kraut to share or a named summer squash (i.e. Black Beauty Zucchini, Benning Green Tint Scallop Squash, or Yellow Crookneck) from your garden for a taste test.
Here are some other things you’ll be able to do:
* Become a member of CSLL (the only requirement is to be an existing library card holder; if you’re not it’s free and easy to do!)
* Ask questions about the seed library and other seedy questions
* Check out up to 5 seed packs per season
If you’re looking to know what seed we have available check out our blog for our most recently updated seed inventory. https://chicoseedlendinglibrary.wordpress.com/csll-seed-inventory/
